Position Description:

Builds Single Page Applications (SPAs) with Angular application components and module coding. Develops systems and solutions with Java, C#, Angular.js, and Python. Designs interactive front-end applications using Angular.js, NGRX state management, RXJS, Redux plugin, and Bootstrap. Develops software applications according to Agile Software Development methodologies. Builds real-time streaming data pipelines and real-time streaming applications using Kafka, JMS, and Apache ActiveMQ frameworks. Uses business knowledge to translate the vision for divisional initiatives into business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications and conducting studies of alternatives. Analyzes and recommends changes in project development policies, procedures, standards, and strategies to development experts and management.

Primary Responsibilities:

Participates in architecture design teams. Defines and implements application-level architecture. Develops applications on complex projects, components, and subsystems for the division. Recommends development testing tools and methodologies and reviews and validates test plans. Responsible for QA readiness of software deliverables. Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications or subsystems. Establishes full project life cycle plans for complex projects across multiple platforms. Responsible for meeting project goals on-time and on-budget. Advises on risk assessment and risk management strategies for projects. Plans and coordinates project schedules and assignments for multiple projects. Acts as a primary liaison for business units to resolve various project/technology issues. Provides technology solutions to daily issues and technical evaluation estimates on technology initiatives. Advises senior management on technical strategy. Mentors junior team members. Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives. Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and five (5) years of experience as a Principal Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) designing, developing, enhancing and maintaining scalable web applications using Java/J2EE, Spring/Spring Boot and Angular Framework, Apache Camel, AWS, SQL/Oracle Database within a software development environment.

Or, alternatively, Master's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Principal Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) designing, developing, enhancing and maintaining scalable web applications using Java/J2EE, Spring/Spring Boot and Angular Framework, Apache Camel, AWS, SQL/Oracle Database within a software development environment.

Candidate must also possess:

Demonstrated Expertise ("DE") performing cloud native software application development using Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), Elastic Container Services (ECS), Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS), AWS Secret Management, and Azure MS SQL database. DE performing database server-side data retrieval, defining and developing Azure MS SQL DB structure, Oracle DB objects, normalized tables, user defined functions, views, and triggers using SQL/Stored Procedures. DE designing and developing Cloud native server-side applications, Web applications using Java/J2EE and Spring (Spring boot, Spring MVC, Springs JDBC, and Spring JMS), using OAuth for authentication, Apache Camel, and MQ for Integration, and Docker for containerization; and developing User Interfaces (UI) using Angular framework, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, and typescript, Web security principles (XSS/CSRF), and IDEs (Visual Studio Code). DE performing Unit and Integration Testing of User Interface, using Java/J2EE in Web applications within JUnit and Jest frameworks, and configuring Continuous Integration/Continuous Development (CI/CD) and test automation, using Jenkins, Sonar, Maven, Artifactory, and AWS; scripting automated application deployment flows, using GitHub, Jenkins, and IBM UDeploy, and using Splunk and Datadog for log check; performing code security scanning and addressing security vulnerabilities in Spring Boot Web applications, using GitHub and SONAR; and preparing test scripts for application performance testing using MOX.

Salary: $150,225.00 - $160,225.00/year.
