Our client, a leader in the life sciences and diagnostics industry, is looking for a
Biosample Assistant/Coordinator
based in Oro Valley, Tucson, AZ.
Duration: Long term contract (Possibility of further extension)
Location: Tucson, AZ
Pay Range : $19- $30/hr on W2
The
Biosample Assistant
and
Biosample Coordinator
roles support sample management activities within a CAP/CLIA laboratory. The Biosample Assistant is an entry-level position, requiring a high school diploma, while the Biosample Coordinator requires a high school diploma with 4 years of experience or a bachelor's degree. Both roles involve accessioning samples, ensuring data accuracy, and following laboratory safety and documentation protocols. The Coordinator additionally oversees process improvement workstreams in the BioSample Management Group.
Responsibilities: Receive, open, and triage sample shipments, perform sample accessioning, label samples, and conduct quality control checks. Ensure accuracy of demographic data input and manage the team email to ensure timely completion of requests. Handle communications regarding held or rejected samples. Image stained slides and ensure deliverables are met within deadlines. Lead and manage deliverables for assigned process improvement initiatives within the BioSample Management Group. Skills: Knowledge of CAP, CLIA, and regulatory standards, with strong attention to documentation and data accuracy. Ability to communicate effectively with clients and internal teams and manage sample requests. Strong organizational skills to ensure accurate labeling, data management, and adherence to timelines. Education and Experience: Biosample Assistant: High school diploma required. Biosample Coordinator: High school diploma with 4 years of relevant experience or a bachelor's degree.
