Halff has an opening for a Civil Engineer, with their Texas PE License, to be a Project Manager on our growing Public Infrastructure/Public Works team based out of our Houston, TX office. The ideal candidate will bring at least 5 years of public infrastructure design experience in the consulting industry or experience working with, or for, public sector clients. Municipal roadway, drainage, and pedestrian facility design experience required. What you will do: This role will be responsible for managing and overseeing the design and construction of infrastructure projects, including: municipal roadways, trails, and drainage improvements. This position requires strong design experience and prefers project management experience and knowledge of working with local entities. Manage design and plan production. Manage clients and supervise technical staff. Provide training/mentorship of other engineers. What you will need:
Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering degree Professional Engineer (P.E.) License in Texas or transferrable within 2 months At least 5 to 10 years of experience in public infrastructure/public works, municipal roadway, drainage, and pedestrian facility design projects Strong experience working with AutoCAD Civil3D (preferred) or MicroStation Experience managing design and plan production Ability to manage clients and supervise technical staff Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Previous experience working with public sector clients and business development communications is a plus Experience in project scope development, professional services fee development and staffing projects is a plus Strong ability to work in a team environment including multiple disciplines A positive attitude, be self-directed yet a team player, and have a focus on quality, integrity and success The Halff Public Works Advantage
