A leading healthcare facility in Providence, RI is seeking an experienced Cardiac Sonographer to join its cardiology imaging team. This full-time role provides the opportunity to work with a dedicated group of cardiovascular professionals in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform high-quality transthoracic echocardiograms and assist with transesophageal and stress echocardiograms as needed
Evaluate cardiac structure and function using advanced ultrasound techniques
Prepare and position patients, and clearly explain procedures
Collaborate with cardiologists for timely and accurate interpretation of studies
Maintain equipment and adhere to departmental imaging protocols
Document findings and ensure proper image archiving

Certification as RDCS (via ARDMS) or RCS (via CCI) Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in cardiac sonography Current BLS certification Completion of the Sonography Principles and Instrumentation (SPI) exam (if ARDMS certified) Rhode Island state licensure or eligibility to obtain Strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills
