NAC Engineer - System Integrator

An IT services provider based in Richardson, Texas, specializing in multi-vendor technology integration, managed IT solutions, and networking services, is seeking a Network Access Control (NAC) Engineer. Key Responsibilities: Design, implement, and maintain Network Access Control (NAC) solutions with Aruba ClearPass or Cisco ISE. Configure and manage 802.1X authentication, guest access, and device profiling. Support the integration of NAC solutions with network infrastructure, including switching, routing, firewalls, and wireless controllers. Perform troubleshooting and issue resolution related to NAC policies, authentication failures, and endpoint compliance. Work collaboratively with security and network teams to enhance network access policies and ensure compliance with security best practices. Provide technical support and guidance for NAC deployments and user access management. Maintain detailed documentation of NAC configurations, policies, and network diagrams. Conduct performance analysis, monitoring, and reporting for NAC systems. Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies in network security and access control. Required Skills & Experience: Hands-on experience with Aruba ClearPass or Cisco ISE (willingness to transition to ClearPass is required). Strong knowledge of 802.1X authentication, RADIUS, TACACS+, and EAP protocols. Experience with network infrastructure technologies, including Routing & Switching (Cisco, Aruba, Juniper, etc.). Familiarity with firewall policies, VPN, and network segmentation. Understanding of wireless security, including integration with NAC solutions. Experience working with Active Directory, LDAP, and certificate-based authentication. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Ability to document solutions and processes effectively. Preferred Qualifications: Aruba Certified ClearPass Professional (ACCP) or equivalent certification. Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent experience. Experience with cloud-based NAC solutions and Zero Trust security models. Knowledge of scripting or automation (Python, Ansible) for network security tasks.
