Position: The Practice Manager (PM) plays a vital role in the hospital's success by fostering a positive culture, ensuring operational efficiency, and enhancing client service and employee engagement. The PM is typically the Integrator on the hospitals accountability chart and participates in Pathway Planning leadership meetings. The manager exercises sound judgment and is capable of making decisions independently. The Practice Manager oversees all business activities, including staff hiring and training, budget management in collaboration with Pathway finance, monitoring key performance indicators, setting fees, maintaining inventory, managing hospital software, and implementing safety procedures. Culture and Work Environment Communicates the practices values and mission, motivating staff and maintaining morale. Upholds core values and standards. Conducts regular staff meetings with mandatory training components. Promotes teamwork and a cooperative work environment. Willing to perform necessary tasks to ensure hospital functionality. Encourages continuous quality improvement (CQI) for practice success. Requirements Ability to analyze data to establish priorities and develop operational programs. Sound judgment in decision-making. Leadership, management, and coaching skills at all staff levels. Experience in staff management, including hiring and firing. Empathy toward clients and respect for animals. Excellent interpersonal communication skills. Commitment to outstanding client service. Financial management skills, including understanding P&L statements. Proficiency in math and Excel/spreadsheet skills. Certified Veterinary Practice Manager or equivalent experience preferred. Minimum of three years supervisory experience. Bachelors degree in business or related field preferred. Experience managing veterinary practices preferred. Ability to lift objects up to 40 pounds unaided and more with assistance. Availability for occasional non-standard hours and emergencies. Compensation is negotiable, with a range of $75,000 to $85,000 annually, based on credentials and experience.
