Ultrasound Technologist
Performs diagnostic general/vascular ultrasound procedures at a technical level requiring independent judgment, under the direction of a qualified physician. Performs non-invasive vascular testing procedures and writes preliminary interpretations. Degree in Radiologic Technology, Diagnostic Medical Sonography and/or vascular technology required. Related field or completion of a training program acceptable to their registry board, ARRT or ARDMS. ARRT or ARDMS. In 2022, Sentara broke ground on a new campus, a state-of-the-art 88-bed hospital to replace the current 60-year-old facility on North Road Street. The 135-acre campus, coming out of the ground at Halstead Boulevard Extended and Thunder Road, will be known as the Sentara Albemarle Regional Health Campus. It is projected to cost about $200 million, up from the original estimate of $158 million, due to sharp spikes in costs for building materials and medical equipment.
