Job Description
We are seeking a Structural Project Engineer to support a leading design-build firm in Central Florida. This role provides comprehensive engineering services across high-profile projects such as parking structures, multifamily residential, and hotel developments. The engineer will lead field investigations, perform structural calculations, oversee construction documentation, and contribute to project delivery from concept through construction. This position reports directly to the VP of Engineering and plays a key role in mentoring junior engineers while ensuring technical excellence.
Responsibilities
Lead field investigations and conduct detailed structural calculations. Oversee construction documentation and ensure compliance with design specifications. Contribute to project delivery from concept through construction phases. Mentor and guide junior engineers to foster their professional development. Ensure technical excellence across all engineering projects.
Essential Skills
Strong expertise in structural engineering and design. Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain a Florida PE within one year. Proficiency in structural analysis software such as ETABS, RISA, and RAM. Experience in structural engineering design for prestressed concrete and steel systems. Project management experience across multiple design and construction phases. Strong knowledge of concrete and structural steel design.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. 10+ years of structural engineering experience. 5+ years of project management experience. Proficiency in 3D CAD platforms such as Revit, Navisworks, and SolidWorks. Familiarity with Florida Building Code and BIM. Experience with prefabricated construction. Strong communication and leadership skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate cross-functional teams. Willingness to relocate to Central Florida with relocation support provided. Commitment to continuous learning and licensure with license fees and CEUs covered.
