The Communications team at Whatnot raises awareness and shapes our reputation. Were hiring an experienced Senior Communications Manager to lead product communications and support broader corporate and consumer messaging. As Senior Manager, Product Communications, you will craft and execute strategies to highlight Whatnots product innovation, develop compelling narratives, drive media engagement, and communicate with our seller community about how our tools support growth. Your work will improve external perceptions, strengthen brand credibility, and position our technology at the forefront of live shopping evolution. Responsibilities
Lead Product Communications & Drive Adoption Own strategies to showcase product innovation and features, crafting messaging for sellers, buyers, and industry stakeholders. Collaborate with Product, Community, and Account Management teams to promote tools that help sellers grow. Strategically Communicate Product Evolution Align with the product roadmap to identify communication opportunities that reinforce our innovation narrative. Develop strategic PR and communication touchpoints to highlight how our evolving tools enhance the live shopping experience. Drive Media Relations & Thought Leadership Build relationships with key reporters in tech and commerce. Develop pitch angles, secure coverage, and craft narratives positioning Whatnot as a leader in live shopping and seller success. Team members in this role should be within commuting distance of Los Angeles, San Francisco, or New York City hubs. Qualifications
7+ years of experience in public relations, corporate, or product communications, with proven success in product storytelling and media relations. Exceptional storytelling and writing skills, with a record of creating compelling narratives, press materials, and blog posts. Strong project management skills to plan, prioritize, and execute initiatives in a fast-paced environment. Experience collaborating across functions to align messaging and drive adoption of new tools among users. Ability to work independently and adapt in a high-growth, ambiguous environment. Experience in startups, marketplaces, or creator-focused platforms is a plus. Benefits
