Quality Assurance Contractor
LaSalle Network is partnering with a leading haircare and skincare brand that is seeking an experienced and proactive Quality Assurance Contractor to lead quality operations and drive compliance across its fast-paced, collaborative environment. This role is ideal for a QA professional with 35+ years of experience who can operate with autonomy, partner cross-functionally, and influence both internal and external stakeholders. The QA Contractor will play a critical role in ensuring regulatory alignment, product integrity, and supplier accountability across the product lifecycle. Acting as a key point of contact for quality-related issues, this role will lead investigations, strengthen quality systems, and deliver actionable insights that support both compliance and continuous improvement initiatives. Quality Assurance Contractor Responsibilities:
Lead investigations of non-conformance reports (NCRs), deviations, and customer complaints, ensuring root cause and corrective actions are identified and implemented. Own corrective and preventive action (CAPA) management, ensuring closure, documentation integrity, and long-term effectiveness. Oversee product holds, conditional releases, and test result verifications; escalate issues as appropriate. Conduct risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies to leadership. Ensure compliance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and maintain audit-ready quality records. Develop and enforce documentation standards that improve traceability and data integrity. Prepare quality reports, metrics, and trend analyses to inform leadership decision-making. Serve as the primary QA liaison with contract manufacturers, suppliers, and third-party labs, holding external partners accountable to quality standards. Partner with product development, packaging, operations, and regulatory teams to embed quality requirements throughout the lifecycle. Drive supplier quality reviews, monitor performance, and implement process controls to prevent recurring issues, and ensure compliance with FDA, GMP, MOCRA, and applicable quality regulations. Lead QA support for adverse event investigations, external lab coordination, and recall processes. Partner with regulatory colleagues to align documentation with evolving standards. Develop, track, and communicate quality metrics and dashboards for leadership review. Analyze data trends to recommend systemic improvements that strengthen product quality and reduce non-conformances. Lead continuous improvement initiatives to streamline workflows and elevate overall QA efficiency. Utilize quality systems (SharePoint, Box, Excel, Word, Asana, SAP, Yogi) to manage and communicate QA activities. Recommend enhancements to digital workflows that improve documentation and traceability. Train internal teams and external partners on quality policies, procedures, and compliance requirements. Provide clear documentation and guidance on QA processes to cross-functional teams. Deliver a comprehensive handover and knowledge transfer plan at the end of the contract period. Quality Assurance Contractor Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a science-related field (e.g., Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Quality). 35+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, or Document Control within consumer goods, cosmetics, or personal care. Strong working knowledge of GMP, GDP, and regulatory frameworks (FDA, MOCRA). Proven track record of leading CAPAs, RCAs, and supplier quality initiatives. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); experience with SAP, Box, SharePoint, or Asana a plus. Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk assessment skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including stakeholder-facing reporting.
