Job Description Join a leading organization in the aerospace and defense industry as a Quality Engineer. You will oversee quality activities, ensure compliance with Quality Management Systems, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. This position offers growth opportunities in Cheshire, CT.

Responsibilities

Ensure processes in the QMS are understood and followed to maintain approvals.

Lead internal and external audits, including NADCAP and customer audits.

Maintain export compliance by understanding export control requirements.

Drive root cause corrective actions and track non-conformances.

Support process improvements with KPI reporting and quality performance enhancements.

Manage Quality Planning, NPI, and FAI processes.

Review customer orders, requirements, and drawings.

Conduct drawing reviews and manage gaging requirements.

Perform Gage R&R studies and develop SPC plans.

Create IMS and FAI templates aligned with customer needs.

Develop and validate CMM programs.

Secure special process approvals and NDT.

Coordinate customer submissions and attend training to attain certifications.

Use statistical software for data analysis and process control.

Lead SPC review sessions and participate in continuous improvement programs.

Perform other duties as required and participate in training.

Travel domestically up to 10%.

Essential Skills

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field.

2+ years in manufacturing, aerospace preferred.

Proficiency in MS Office and inspection techniques.

Knowledge of data collection and SPC.

Effective communication skills.

Must be a “U.S. Person” per US Gov. regulations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

5+ years in manufacturing, aerospace preferred.

Experience with root cause analysis, ISO 9001, gage R&R, NPI, QMS.

Experience with Pratt and airfoil components is a plus.

Work Environment & Benefits Enjoy a 9/80 schedule, profit sharing, health benefits, 401K with match, and modern facilities in Cheshire, CT. Salary range: $75,000 - $105,000/year. Fully onsite. Application deadline: May 26, 2025.
