Job DescriptionMechanical Process Engineer - Kennesaw, GA We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Process Engineer to join our team in Kennesaw, GA. This role offers the opportunity to work on challenging projects in steam and power generation, as well as pulp and paper, chemical, and pharmaceutical process industries. Responsibilities: Lead and coordinate engineering efforts for steam and power generation projects Perform equipment sizing, specification, and selection Develop heat and material balances Prepare and review general arrangement (GA) drawings and P&IDs Write equipment specifications for pumps, boilers, turbine generators, heat exchangers, air pollution control equipment, water treatment, piping systems, and related systems Maintain pipe line lists, valve lists, and piping specialty items lists Ensure piping systems comply with ASME Section 1, B31.1, and B31.3 codes Research and interpret relevant codes and standards to ensure compliance Mentor junior engineers and support their professional development Travel to project sites as needed to support field activities and design reviewsRequired Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering Minimum of 5 years of experience in the design and construction of steam and power generation plants Specific experience working with EPC firms on steam and power generation projects Strong knowledge of piping materials of construction and stress analysis Demonstrated experience with package/power boilers, boiler fuel conversions, steam turbines, HRSGs, CHP, and pellet mills PE License highly preferred; candidates on track to obtain PE will also be consideredPreferred Qualifications: Experience specifying or designing water treatment systems Background in industrial projects within natural gas, oil-fired facilities, or related sectorsThis is a full-time opportunity to join a specialized engineering team focused on delivering innovative solutions in steam and power generation.Please send your resume to hmccormick@selectek.net for consideration.
