Job Title: Transmission Line Engineer

A growing utility and telecommunications engineering firm is seeking a Transmission Line Engineer to join their team. This role involves leading the design and coordination of overhead and underground transmission line projects ranging from 40kV to 230kV. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying industry standards such as NESC, ASCE, and ACI to develop construction documents and support various electric utility projects including new capacity, voltage conversion, and infrastructure upgrades.
Responsibilities: Design medium and high-voltage (40kV-230kV) transmission lines using PLS-CADD Prepare construction documents: plan and profile drawings, structure loading trees, and foundation drawings Draft specifications and project design criteria Provide field support during project construction phases Offer technical leadership and mentorship to less experienced team members Maintain strong working relationships with internal teams and clients Travel to project and client sites as needed Perform other related duties as assigned Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering 3+ years of relevant transmission line design experience (Master's degree may substitute 1 year of experience) Proficiency with PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE Strong written and verbal communication skills Analytical mindset and effective problem-solving skills Ability to collaborate in a team-focused environment EIT or PE certification is a plus Familiarity with any of the following is a plus: TOWER, LPILE or FAD, Mathcad, AutoCAD, MicroStation, GIS Work Environment:
Office-based with potential for travel to project locations Occasional fieldwork may be required Compensation & Benefits:
