Porzio, Bromberg & Newman, P.C. ("Porzio"), a mid-sized law firm headquartered in Morristown, NJ, is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Temporary Document Scanner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately scanning, organizing, and maintaining a variety of physical documents in a digital format. This role requires a high level of accuracy, efficiency, and a keen eye for detail. This is a temporary position designed to help us complete a specific project within a set timeframe.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and arrange documents for scanning by removing bindings, staples, and other fasteners. Operate scanning equipment to convert physical documents into digital files. Ensure the quality and legibility of scanned documents by verifying image clarity and completeness. Organize and label digital files appropriately for easy retrieval and reference. Input data and metadata related to scanned documents into the document management system. Maintain and troubleshoot scanning equipment to ensure optimal performance. Follow established protocols and procedures for document handling and confidentiality. Assist with other administrative tasks related to document management as needed. Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in document scanning or a related field is preferred. Proficiency in using scanning equipment and document management software. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication skills. Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
