Junior Financial Analyst

to support our financial operations by optimizing processes between the bookkeeping function and the Bursar’s Office. This role will focus on streamlining workflows, improving financial reporting accuracy, and ensuring a more cohesive and efficient approach to tuition management, accounts receivable, and reconciliation processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in financial analysis, accounting principles, and process improvement. The Junior Financial Analyst performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Archdiocese of Miami. Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the Bookkeeping and Bursar’s Office teams to evaluate and enhance financial processes, ensuring seamless integration of tuition billing, collections, and reconciliation. Analyze current workflows to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements that enhance financial accuracy and operational efficiency. Assist in the preparation of financial reports related to tuition payments, outstanding balances, and revenue forecasting. Support monthly and annual financial reconciliations, ensuring accuracy between the school’s accounting system and tuition management system. Work closely with the Finance and Administration teams to ensure compliance with internal policies and best practices. Help develop standardized procedures and documentation to improve coordination between financial functions. Provide analytical support for financial decision-making and budgeting efforts. Assist in maintaining financial records and ensuring adherence to relevant accounting principles. Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. 1-3 years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, or a related field (experience in an educational or nonprofit setting is a plus). Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide insights. Proficiency in financial software, accounting platforms, and Excel (experience with tuition management software is a plus). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate across departments. Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
