Role Summary The Senior M/E Engineer will complete increasingly complex mechanical, electrical, and field construction activities. This position provides overall management direction and expertise in estimating, scheduling, quality control, and commissioning within the mechanical/electrical scopes of work for select projects and M/E personnel. Responsibilities include data collection, estimate development, bid analysis, and new business opportunities development. Autonomy & Decision-Making:

Makes decisions on routine matters, provides recommendations to supervisor, and refers all exceptions to supervisor. Career Path:

Key Role Responsibilities - Core ME ENGINEER FAMILY – CORE Learns and actively participates in all aspects of the company’s safety and quality culture, demonstrating commitment to an injury-free environment through individual actions and mentoring others. Completes entry-level and routine mechanical, electrical, and field construction activities. Learns to develop budgetary M/E estimates using automated systems based on program and schematic design information. Assists in reviewing mechanical and electrical options during preconstruction, completing systems analysis for projects. Learns to develop mechanical and electrical scopes of work for the bid process. Assists in bid analysis and subcontractor selection processes. Supports development of system sequencing and schedule requirements. Gains knowledge of design documents to identify quality issues and assist in constructability reviews. Performs job inspections to ensure specifications and expectations are met, and work is completed timely and with quality. Assists with shop drawing/submittal processes to ensure compliance with contract documents. Supports the commissioning process, including checklist development, functional testing, and documentation. Key Role Responsibilities - Additional Core SENIOR M/E ENGINEER In addition, this role is responsible for: Executing increasingly complex mechanical, electrical, and field activities. Developing budget estimates based on design info. Reviewing options, conducting systems analysis, recommending best systems, and suggesting value engineering. Coordinating scopes during bidding and developing sequencing to meet schedules. Reviewing design documents for quality issues and developing quality control programs. Performing inspections to ensure quality and specifications. Developing and verifying functional testing procedures and checklists. Reviewing and approving shop drawings. Generating and submitting commissioning plans and documentation. Mentoring less experienced team members. Creating tools and solutions to improve processes. Negotiating subcontracts and purchasing equipment. Building client relationships, participating in interviews, presentations, and business development. Representing the department and company externally, and managing resource allocation and staffing. Promoting diversity and inclusion, ensuring policy implementation throughout the organization. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Ability to perform work accurately, completely, and timely. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in presentations, MS Office, construction technology, scheduling software, BIM, and Lean principles. Knowledge of project processes, relationship building, and budget management. Ability to manage projects from start to finish, including budgeting and estimating. Education

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, architectural engineering, or related field (Required). Equivalent relevant experience considered. Experience

10+ years construction management experience (Preferred). Working Environment
