Sr. Nuclear Engineer (Electrical Power Infrastructure)
Supports defense analytical requirements with enhanced scientific/engineering research, reverse engineering analysis/characterizations, facility and vulnerability assessments on foreign nuclear capabilities. This includes, but not limited to, nuclear engineering and sub-disciplines of thermo-hydraulics, electrical theory, seismic/earthquake, physics, computational science, and fission reactor engineering. Work related experience, and/or similarly relevant academic experience, at a nuclear power plant or in Reactor Department on a Navy Nuclear-powered ship, nuclear regulatory body, public/private nuclear research institution, national lab or other USG agency with a nuclear power related account or portfolio. Professional or academic course work related to electric power systems, to include but not limited to: grid scale power, steam turbine generator operations, and diesel generator operations and the interplay between these systems for both normal and emergency operations. Skills related to nuclear accident management and/or prevention Professional or academic course work related to Small Modular Reactors and Generation IV reactors. Experience in using the following tools: iSpy Message traffic tools MARS ArcPro Geospatial data holdings tools Security clearance required TS/SCI with CI POLY or the ability to obtain CI POLY. Desired experiences: Minimum 12 years of experience related to the specific labor category with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years. Desired education: Master's Degree in an area related to the labor category from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education: or have a bachelor's degree related to the labor category from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and an additional 5 years of related Senior experience for a total of 17 years, as a substitute to the master's degree.
