RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client seeking a Network Engineer in Hollywood, FL.
Network Design & Maintenance:
Configure and manage LAN/WAN environments, VLANs, VPNs, and subnetting Deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls, access points) Implement and manage Software-Defined Networking (SDN) and SD-WAN solutions Maintain fiber switches and associated infrastructure Optimize network performance through monitoring, troubleshooting, and proactive upgrades
Security & Compliance:
Configure and maintain firewalls (Check Point, Palo Alto, Fortinet) Enforce IT security policies, including access controls and 802.1X authentication Conduct network security audits and vulnerability assessments
Wireless & Cloud Networking:
Manage Cisco Meraki wireless access points Ensure secure and efficient wireless connectivity Work with virtualized networking environments (VMware NSX, vCenter)
Support & Documentation
Provide technical support and incident response within SLA guidelines Document network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides Collaborate with cross-functional teams for issue resolution
Telecom Support
Provide technical support for Unified Cisco Call Manager (UCCM, UCaaS) Proficient in voice and related technology Troubleshooting circuits and ISP related issues
REQUIREMENTS:
Associate's degree in IT, Computer Science, or Engineering required; Bachelor's preferred Required: Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Preferred: Check Point Certified Admin (CCSA), or other relevant certifications Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in a fast paced and dynamic technical support environment or equivalent with a combination of education and experience Expertise in routing, switching (L2/L3), and network security Proficiency in fiber infrastructure and load balancers Experience with Cisco platforms (ISE, VoIP, Meraki) Knowledge of network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, LiveAction) Understanding of SD-WAN, cloud networking, and virtualization
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
