AMSOIL INC. is seeking an experienced Staff Product Development Engineer to join our growing team! In this role you will lead innovative product development activities and support cross-functional efforts across the organization. This position includes direct leadership responsibilities while playing a strategic role to influence the technical direction of the company, bringing fresh insight, technical vision, and a passion for innovation that creates lasting customer value. This position allows for a hybrid work schedule requiring at least 3 days a week at the AMSOIL Center located in Superior, WI. Core Responsibilities: Partner with Marketing to develop products from concept to launch. Lead the development and execution of test plans and field trials to demonstrate proof of performance that validates products and excites target customers. Coordinate with our in-house Mechanical Lab, Chemical Labs, 3rd party labs, Suppliers, and OEMs to execute product validation tests. Oversee and/or mentor other engineers to influence technical excellence and project execution. Benchmark competitive products and help shape product strategy and positioning. Provide technical support and training to internal teams and key customers. Support product lifecycle activities, licensing, and compliance updates. Position Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job. Minimum of 8 years of relevant, progressive experience. Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of applications in which AMSOIL products are used. Examples include industrial machinery, passenger cars, diesel engines, and powersports equipment. Effective project management skills to lead complex validation projects and collaborate across departments. Good business acumen to help drive priorities and decisions that maximize value. Demonstrated test plan creation, data analysis, and reporting skills. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing with technical and non-technical team members. Domestic, and possibly international, travel by car or plane is required up to 10% of the time.
