Assembly Mechanic
LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking Assembly Mechanic for an opportunity in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Responsibilities and Duties
Assemble, install, seal, rig, inspect, and complete precision and other structural and system components, working from drawings, documents, process specifications, quality control requirements, and established processes and procedures. Functional test and correct, fit form and function of assemblies and components.
Obtain required information from prints, charts, sketches, work instructions, documents, verbal, and electronic sources.
Use shop mathematics and precision measuring and/or test instruments to complete work assignments and functional test assemblies and components.
Utilize tooling in the assembly of components into sub-assemblies or end items.
Verify work performed to ensure it meets work instructions and process/engineering specifications. Identify discrepancies per applicable procedure.
Ensure equipment and tool certification occurs according to procedure.
Perform routine minor machine maintenance as part of daily duties (e.g., replacing machine filters, changing standard light bulbs on machines, maintaining lubrication/coolant levels, etc., as part of Total Preventative Maintenance duties).
Routinely move product within the immediate manufacturing work area, including across aisles, using shop-assigned equipment. Complete transactions necessary to move product to the next operation, or on an exception basis, within a building.
Perform work within allotted schedules.
Support the continuous flow of product within the manufacturing process by training and assisting employees at all classification levels.
Assist in the training of other assembly personnel in assembly, installation, and inspection techniques.
Cross-train in inspection and become SIA qualified.
Level Setup and operate conventional and/or CNC equipment (less than simultaneous 3-axis movement).
Activities include processes such as drive Matic.
Employee must have skills and knowledge to perform in one or more of the following specialties:
Assembly/Installation of Structures
Sealer Sub-Assembly
Assembly/Installation of Doors
Integral Fuel Cell Sealing
Precision Bench Assembly
Pressure and vacuum testing
Qualifications and requirements:
Must have 2+ years of structural assembly experience
Local candidates highly preferred
Ability to work different shifts and flexible hours if required.
Must have reliable transportation to and from the job site.
Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Must be ITAR eligible
