Medix is hiring an HIM Specialistfor a local contract within a practice in Douglassville, Georgia, Full time, paying $19-$25/hrdepending on experience and benefits! M-F until trained - once trained schedule will go Tues. - Sat. 7am-3:30pm.A great opportunity to work within one of the area's top health networks!

HIM Specialist

Certifications / Qualifications: Epic Experience Extensive knowledge of how to index documents in OnBase and navigate its functions 2 years of Medical Records/Indexing experience Basic Excel, Word and Data entry experience HIM Specialist Responsibilities:

Provide timely processing of patient records. Responsible for completing the prepping, scanning and indexing of patients' medical records into our Electronic Health Record (EHR), to include all hospitals departments and practices. Responsible for monitoring, and the management of HIM work queues, reviewing documents and the creation of indexes, abstracting, completion and submission of vital records information, and other duties associated with the accurate and timely completion of the legal medical record. Responsible for reviewing documents and creating indexes. Must acquire and maintain comprehensive knowledge of the document types required to associate patient documents in the EHR to facilitate end user access and selection. Requires extensive knowledge and proficiency of the EHR to designate the documents to the correct patient, encounter level, document type, physician and location. Benefits:
