Overview
The
Barista
is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee, espresso-based beverages, and other refreshments in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. This role supports the overall guest experience by delivering exceptional service, maintaining cleanliness and efficiency, and upholding OVG's standards of hospitality.
This role pays an hourly rate of $15.50 to $16.00 and is tip eligible

Responsibilities Prepare and serve coffee, espresso drinks, teas, and other beverages according to standardized recipes and presentation guidelines. Must be willing and able to handle alcoholic beverages. Operate espresso machines, grinders, brewers, and other café equipment safely and efficiently. Maintain a clean and organized workstation, including counters, equipment, and storage areas. Restock supplies and ingredients throughout the shift to ensure uninterrupted service. Greet guests warmly, take orders accurately, and handle transactions using POS systems. Provide knowledgeable recommendations and answer questions about menu items. Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures. Assist with opening and closing duties, including inventory checks and cleaning. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during events and peak service times. Uphold OVG's values of integrity, respect, and excellence in every interaction. Other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications
Previous barista or food service experience preferred, especially in high-volume environments. Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays based on event schedules. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs. Familiarity with POS systems and basic cash handling. Food Handler's and Alcohol Certification (or willingness to obtain) may be required.
