We are currently hiring for: Job Title Shag Driver - 1st Shift
Job Summary: The Shag Driver position is responsible for spotting trailers in and out of the shipping dock area for loading and unloading of product. The Shag Driver is also responsible for operating equipment in a safe manner. Compensation Details: Minimum starting wage is $23.25 per hour up to $25+ per hour depending on experience. Primary Responsibilities: Operate semi-tractor trailer to spot trailers as needed into the shipping dock area. Ensure product is safely secured on trailer. Checking vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order. Maneuvering trucks into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading crew and checking that vehicle and loading equipment are properly positioned. Maintaining logs of working hours or of vehicle service or repair status, following applicable state and federal regulations. Reporting vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles. Operate equipment in a safe manner. Other duties as assigned. Job Requirements: Must have a Class A CDL and be able to maintain this certification/license. Previous experience is required. Minimum of 3 years of tractor-trailer experience is preferred. Must have and maintain good driving record. Must be able to problem solve. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment. Ability to adjust quickly to changing demands.
