Sr Staff Network Architect

Contributor role working with cross functional teams in defining strategy and technology roadmap for Network WLAN, LAN and WAN Architecture Standards Contributor role in Site and Data Center Migration initiatives supporting Global Locations with SDWAN deployments, Integration into Wabtec Standards and AWS VPC Migrations with a focus on Business operational requirements Participate in Network projects and initiatives with broad scope and high impact to the business and be a recognized Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Networking Infrastructure Define and maintain repeatable reference documentation for network architectures Determine network design requirements and prepare cost estimates by evaluating business strategies and requirements Monitor network performance and serve as highest escalation point for critical incidents impacting operations Collaborate with third-party service and support vendors to ensure maximum uptime and prompt problem remediation Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology (IT), Computer Science or Engineering, and or minimum of 15 years of broad Network Design and Support experience with diverse Global Enterprise environments Proficient with BGP, OSPF and EIGRP routing protocols. Proficient with AWS/Azure Networking VPC, Transit Gateways, Direct Connects, ACL and Security Group design and Implementation. Certification and/or familiarity with a broad range of Networking Equipment Design and Configuration: Cisco, Aruba, Nexus, HP, CheckPoint, ASA, Fortinet, SDWAN Principals, QOS Principals Familiarity with broad range of Network Monitoring Tools: Wire Shark, Solar Winds, Splunk, CA Performance Center, IBM QROC, etc Experience working with Telco Circuit and SDWAN providers. Actively seeks next-gen certifications pertinent to the role Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Capable of establishing strong relationships and trust with Business Management Teams and Users alike Willing to embrace change and manage or influence required activities to reach desired outcomes CISCO Network certification or 10+ years of hands-on Cisco IOS experience with design/deployment and support Proven ability to deliver while under tight timelines Demonstrated ability to proactively analyze and solve complex problems Excellent communication skills including both verbal and written Eligibility Requirements:
Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% as required Physical Demands:
