Project Engineer Plastics Manufacturing
Reporting directly into the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for the following: Ensure all customer requirements are met across communication, project management, tool design, manufacturing, quality, and delivery. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and vendors. Collaborate with management to identify and engage new customers and vendors to support company growth. Support and enforce the company's Quality Policy, ensuring compliance with ISO 13485:2016 and industry standards. Lead continuous improvement initiatives across the organization to enhance operations. Manage direct customer communication related to project status, delivery, and qualification requirements. Review and improve mold, tool, gauge, fixture, and jig designs to optimize manufacturing quality. Oversee timely completion of new mold construction projects, ensuring deadlines are met. Lead project management for new tooling and product development from inception through production. Facilitate cross-department communication, assist in equipment and facility improvements, and contribute to cost and feasibility analyses. A successful Engineering Manager should have: A Bachelor's Degree in a technical field such as Mechanical Engineering or equivalent professional experience At least 3 years of experience in project management in a manufacturing environment. Proficient in SolidWorks. Experience with injection molding highly preferred. Excellent problem-solving abilities and a detail-oriented mindset. Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
