Job Summary: The Administrative Assistant for Teaching & Learning provides administrative and clerical support to the Teaching & Learning Department in a K-8 public school system. This role assists in the coordination of curriculum initiatives, professional development, instructional programs, and assessment activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with staff, administrators, and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree, preferred. Previous experience in an administrative support role, preferably in an educational setting. Proficient skill in English composition, grammar and spelling. Working knowledge of office technologies including phone, fax, scanning, database, word processing, and spreadsheets. Ability to perform assigned duties and tasks with a minimum of direction. Fluency in a second language, preferred. Some travel between schools for meetings or events may be required.

Salary: Salary established by the Board of Education and PSRP agreement.

Hourly rate of pay for 2025-26 is $33.43. Admin Assts work 8.0 hours per day (7.5 paid hours and 0.5 unpaid lunch). The work year includes 236 work days plus 16 paid holidays for a total of 252 paid days (1,890 paid hours per year). Annual salary: $63,182

The Board will pay 100% of the premium cost of Employee Only HMO coverage and 90% of Employee Only PPO Coverage.

Beginning November 1, 2025, the Board will pay 60% of the premium for dependent coverage (Family, Employee + Spouse, Employee + Children).

This is an in-person position Monday - Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Occasionally, with advance notice, hours may need to be flexed to accommodate set up for district events or meetings as early as 7:00 a.m. and as late as 6:00 p.m.
