About Us Black Swan Hearth & Gift is under new ownership by the employees who’ve been making it happen for years. We stepped up because we love this business and see big opportunities to grow. With two retail showrooms, we specialize in fireplaces, stoves, and home décor, helping customers design warm, stylish spaces backed by expert installation and service.

Joining us now means being part of the next chapter, where there’s room to grow, learn, and take on real responsibility.

The Role We’re looking for a Sales Associate who’s motivated, personable, and curious to learn. This is not just a sales job, it’s about design, problem-solving, and helping customers choose a fireplace that will actually work in their home.

You’ll get hands-on with customer plans, measurements, and installation details, while also developing communication and sales skills. If you like the idea of learning a mix of technical know-how and customer service, this is a great career path.

What You’ll Do

Welcome customers and guide them through our showroom experience

Learn to review dimensions, floor plans, and installation manuals to confirm products will fit a customer’s home

Prepare accurate estimates and explain options clearly

Recommend accessories, upgrades, and service packages

Keep up with promotions and product knowledge (we’ll train you)

Use our CRM system to manage leads, track sales, and build long-term relationships

Work closely with our installers and service team so projects go smoothly

What We’re Looking For

A people person with strong communication skills

Curious and willing to learn the technical side of fireplaces and installations

Organized and able to manage details for multiple customers

Tech-comfortable (email, CRM, POS—we’ll train you on specifics)

Previous sales or home improvement experience is great, but not required if you’re motivated

High school diploma (or equivalent)

Willing to work Saturdays (we’re always closed Sundays!)

Why You’ll Love Working Here

Be part of a supportive, employee-owned team that’s growing

Learn real technical and business skills you can build a career on

Growth opportunities into other departments, estimating, design, installation support, service coordination, even marketing

Competitive pay + sales incentives

Employee discounts on hearth and home products (yes, that dream firepit could be yours!)

Every day is different, no cookie-cutter retail here
