Test Engineer

The Airborne Systems Business Area, part of the Defense Sector at Leidos, currently has an opening for a cleared Test Engineer to work in our office near Hanscom AFB, MA. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the Air Force Research Lab, Air Force Lifecycle Management Center, and other DoD missions. Your role will be to support our diverse portfolio of programs through a combination of software design and development, hardware interfacing and integration, laboratory experimentation, ground and flight testing to deploy cutting edge, next generation solutions. Primary responsibilities include working with the project team to ensure testability of software and system requirements and capabilities, troubleshooting software & systems, applying appropriate principles, standards, processes, procedures and tools throughout the software development life cycle, collaborating with Test Team members over execution of the test process, collaborating with the Cybersecurity team as required to support the RMF process, creating test plan and procedures for embedded software to verify capabilities and requirements; including interface testing, and briefing parties external to the organization (e.g., sub-contractors, vendors, etc.) Basic qualifications include a Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of prior relevant experience or a Master's degree in relevant field: OR additional years of experience in lieu of degree. Must be a US Citizen. Must have an active DoD TS clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI. Experience working with embedded systems and in a SIL and HWIL environment. Ability to liaise with, speak and present effectively to personnel at all levels of the organization. Ability to work independently and as part of a test team. Demonstrated test plan and test report writing skills. Demonstrated ability to develop and execute test plans and test reporting. Experience in data collection and analysis to verify accuracy of test objectives met. Strong desire to grow and learn new technologies. Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally from informal one-on-one discussions or in a small group environment. Ability to work within a dynamic work environment, ability to handle multiple tasks at once (multi-task) Preferred qualifications include active DoD TS/SCI clearance, Datalink/Mesh Network testing experience, COMSEC Experience, familiar with Agile Methodologies, preferably SCRUM or Kanban, experience with Atlassian tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, Zephyr, TestRail
