Voyant Beauty is a full-service partner to the personal care and beauty industry and a leading value-added manufacturer of innovative hair care, bath and body, and skin care products for both established multinational companies and emerging brands.
We are seeking to add a Validation Engineer to our team. At Voyant Beauty, we serve our customers at every stage of the brand lifecycle, requiring strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with customers, internal R&D, and plant operations. Experience in the cosmetics/personal care manufacturing industry is preferred.
Responsibilities:
Conduct process and cleaning validations on regulated products, including OTC products and cosmetics. Perform IQ/OQ qualifications on new and existing equipment and systems, such as USP Water Systems and compressed air. Assist in creating cleanout SOPs for cGMP and other products. Conduct validations requiring extensive engineering. Advise on engineering requirements for validating new equipment, especially optical or electronic/computer-controlled systems. Write general SOPs as needed. Conduct special engineering/testing activities upon request. Attend customer meetings and conference calls as necessary. Support departments with cGMP activities and document reviews. Maintain thorough documentation for audits and reviews. Develop standards and templates for Voyant Custom products and specific customers. Understand analytical and microbiological test results and methods. Assist in environmental monitoring testing with third-party labs. Write validation protocols, interim, and final reports. Execute validations independently. Assist in internal and external audits. Possess strong knowledge of cleaning validations. Support investigations and QC lab functions. Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or a related field. Experience in the cosmetics/personal care manufacturing industry is preferred. 35 years of validation and cGMP experience is preferred. Ability to calibrate, test, inspect, and modify instrumentation, mechanics, and computer systems used in GMP. Goal-oriented with strong interpersonal, organizational, and mathematical skills. Lean or Sigma certification is desirable.
