SUBSTITUTE - ON CALL

POSITION:

Food Services Assistant

TYPE:

On call as needed. These positions work Monday-Friday.

COMPENSATION:

Range 17; Schedule M; Step 1: $18.76 Hourly

TYPE OF RECRUITMENT:

This is an

OPEN

recruitment to establish a list of substitutes for the classification of Food Services Assistant.

No effort will be made to maintain a rank order of the applicants (P.C. Rule 60.100.5).

TESTING PROCEDURE:

The examination process will consist of a written examination. Applicants will be notified via email regarding their status. Those selected to participate in the testing process will receive additional details, including the date and location of the exam, once the schedule is finalized.

DESCRIPTION:

Under the direction of a Cafeteria Manager or another assigned supervisor, prepare, warm and serve hot and cold menu items to students and staff at an assigned school; maintain the kitchen and food service areas in a safe, clean and orderly condition. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Any combination of education, experience and training that likely would provide the required knowledge and skills is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required knowledge and skill would be: Experience At least one year of experience in school, commercial, institutional or retail foodservice, or manufacturing. Education Graduation from high school, or equivalent to the completion of twelfth grade, is desired but not required
