Minimum Qualifications

Position Summary

Assist lead scientist and technician in the planting, data collection, and harvesting of peanut agronomy research plots. Specific duties include but are not limited to the following: data collection, data entry, plot stake labeling, cleaning and filling sprayers, plot maintenance and plot photography. Many duties will be conducted in the early morning (6 am) so punctuality is expected.

Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification in Position

High school diploma preferred. Valid drivers license.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies

Skills needed: Ability to collect data in field. Good communication skills. Ability to take direction. Ability to work with others as well as individually. On the job training will be provided.

Physical Demands

Work outside in inclement weather when needed, lift up to 50 lbs, work with and around equipment and be pesticide friendly. Driving.
