Bellville, United States | Posted on 06/11/2025 As Senior Project Manager, you will manage the entire solar construction process for utility and commercial/industrial (C&I) energy efficiency and distributed energy generation projects. This includes conducting site visits, meeting with engineers and vendors, sourcing materials, and coordinating design and development activities to support construction, quality assurance, and measurement and verification. Energy efficiency project management experience is required. Assigned projects will include microgrid installations (solar, battery, generators), energy efficiency measures (MEP systems, lighting, building automation), and various carbon reduction strategies to help commercial and industrial customers become more sustainable, save money, and improve processes. In this role, you will manage multiple projects from early development through post-construction, including design, contract negotiations, and project implementation. The ideal candidate will have experience supervising various construction scopes and partnering with building owners, subcontractors, and project teams. Responsibilities

Conduct site visits to assess mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and energy systems, documenting energy performance data. Collaborate with pre-NTP project developers and design teams to value-engineer projects from a constructability perspective. Develop and manage relationships with equipment suppliers and contractors, including managing RFPs. Oversee procurement, delivery schedules, and payment terms for equipment. Manage field construction activities, including permits, mobilizations, and subcontractor oversight. Develop measurement and verification plans, interacting with M&V software vendors. Provide engineering guidance throughout development, construction, and commissioning. Ensure project completion meets company objectives and delivers projected energy savings. Oversee compliance with safety standards, codes, and ordinances. Contribute to team education, communication, and growth. Maintain positive business relationships. Respond to customer requests and RFPs collaboratively. Manage schedule performance of consultants and SMEs. Develop internal processes with step charts. Manage applications for permits, interconnections, tax abatements, and variances. Review and approve project drawings and bid documents. Support construction managers during project execution, including site visits. Oversee troubleshooting, customer training, and documentation. Requirements

BSc or BA in Construction Management preferred. Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and solar PV systems. Experience with solar PV and energy modeling tools (Helioscope, PVSyst, etc.). 3-6 years of engineering design or project management experience in energy projects. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical documents. Field experience in solar project installation, startup, and commissioning.
