Field Service Technician

Field Service Technicians play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing automation systems. Their responsibilities include: Servicing instrumentation: Ensuring sensors and measuring devices function accurately. Control valves: Maintaining valves that regulate flow and pressure within the system. Motors/VFDs: Working with electric motors and Variable Frequency Drives to manage speed and torque. Control system electrical design: Assisting in the design and layout of electrical components for control systems. PLC and DCS configuration: Configuring Programmable Logic Controllers and Distributed Control Systems to ensure efficient operation. By addressing these areas, technicians help ensure that automation systems operate smoothly, reliably, and in line with user requirements. Roles and responsibilities for this job may include but are not limited to: Experience in troubleshooting and maintaining hydraulic and pneumatic systems PLC troubleshooting and configuration Perform I/O checkout on the installed control system and document the checkout results.
