Clark Nexsen is seeking an Electrical Engineer (PE) Power and Energy who is passionate about energy performance and sustainability in the built environment to join our Energy Consulting Team. Our team provides design and consulting services related to decarbonization, renewable energy, microgrids, and energy efficiency projects. An Electrical Engineer (PE) Power and Energy will be responsible for all aspects of electrical engineering on multi-discipline energy design projects, with expertise in electrical systems, equipment selection for solar, BESS, power generation, microgrids, and grid management. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Performing electrical engineering design, including power distribution, system analysis, and equipment layout. Meeting with clients to define and validate project scope. Overseeing project execution, coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams, and ensuring project goals are met within budget and schedule. Leading and mentoring engineering staff, ensuring quality control and adherence to policies. Preparing project documentation, including design development and construction documents. Supporting bidding and construction phases, including site visits and review of shop drawings. Providing technical guidance on power systems, microgrid integration, and grid interconnection. Supporting company marketing and business development activities. Ensuring compliance with all relevant codes and regulations.

Required Skills: Effective communication and presentation skills. Ability to travel up to 25%. Technical precision, creative design skills, and leadership ability. Experience with medium voltage power systems, microgrids, and renewable energy sources. Knowledge of industry standards and regulations.

Required Experience:

Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field from an ABET-accredited program. PE licensure in Electrical Engineering is required. Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in energy or electrical engineering roles. Experience with design software such as SKM, AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office. Strong project management and leadership skills.
