www.cerberus.com . Job Purpose: We are looking for a skilled Power BI developer with strong technical experience and customer-facing skills. Responsibilities include analyzing requirements, designing, developing, maintaining, and supporting Power BI dashboards for business insights. The role requires a proactive, solution-oriented individual who excels in a global team environment. Based in New York City, this position supports the reporting needs for our investment desks and infrastructure department heads. The ideal candidate will have superior communication and problem-solving skills and be very skilled in designing executive dashboards and anticipating user needs. Support reporting with end users: modification, troubleshooting, performance optimization. Document requirements and design dashboards/reports in Power BI. Use advanced Power Query and DAX functions for complex datasets. Develop Power BI data flows and sets. Create paginated reports with Paginated Report Builder. Secure data and reports using various strategies, including Dynamic RLS security. Ensure accuracy of dashboards per documented requirements. Address performance issues and bugs. Implement reporting improvements and promote best practices. Mentor junior professionals in Power BI use. Automate data delivery using technologies like Power BI, Paginated Reports, Microsoft Power Automate, Rest API. Work with minimal supervision and resolve identified issues and tasks independently. Key Requirements: 5-10 years of dedicated experience as a Microsoft Power BI developer. Proven expertise in all phases of Power BI development, including designing data sets, working with visualizations, and performing basic administrative tasks. Proficiency in authoring DAX expressions to create calculated tables, calculated columns, and measures, along with the ability to write and format complex DAX formulas involving model objects, constants, and variables. Experience in developing Paginated Reports (or SSRS reports) of medium to high complexity. Comprehensive understanding of dimensional models and relational databases within enterprise data warehouse environments. Thorough knowledge of using Power BI Desktop, Report Builder, and the Power BI Portal. Advanced skills in writing SQL queries within SQL server environments. Preferred : Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate. Basic Power BI administration at the tenant level. Experience in developing SAP Business Objects Reports and Universes. Knowledge of Financial Services, especially Capital Markets and Asset Management The base salary for this position is expected to be between $150,000 and $190,000. The base salary offered to the chosen candidate will be commensurate with a candidates relevant experience and other qualifications for the position, as determined by the Company in its sole discretion. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, which is often a meaningful portion of the compensation package, and a robust benefits package.
