ADVANCED QUALITY ENGINEER
ADVANCED QUALITY ENGINEER Essential Functions/Duties: Fulfill customers' Quality deliverables for all project requirements and OPM QM PAUPAB requirements in Project Gates. Use of QBIS and Tempo for monitoring supplier PPAP activities and performance. Support project team meetings and gate reviews to share the real status of QM topics needed for launch throughout the project stages. Implement customer-specific and HBPO project requirements within OPM Plants. Manage all suppliers in aspects of Quality Project Management, including SOW, kick-off meetings, Process Capability, APQP, GD&T, PPAP, Gage RR, Run at rate-line speed demonstrations, IMDS, etc. Ensure on-time supplier PPAP approval and cascade customer requirements to suppliers. Manage Quality aspects for the OPM Run at rate-for line speed (demonstration with Customer). Authority to stop a process known to create non-conformances or to hold a non-conforming document. Work with Project team and Plants to resolve known issues or supplier quality issues, including safe launch checks and early builds. Provide quality-related project updates and feedback to Management. Follow OPM Procedures, standards, work instructions, and other directions; create, develop, and implement project documents like Safe launch, inspection standards, instructions, check fixture instructions, and train plant teams. Participate and support OPM Quality system activities as directed. Respond efficiently and enthusiastically to customer requests to maintain high confidence in OPM products and services. Perform any company-related tasks assigned by NAFTA Quality Manager and Advanced Quality Manager. Strong knowledge of check fixtures, GD&T, Data analytics, Dimensional reviews, APQP documents, and other requirements for successful project launches. Responsible for RFQ (SOW), design, approval, MSA, buyoff, and customer approval for holding and check fixtures for new projects. Train plant quality on check fixture use. Review check fixture designs and approve supplier check fixtures. Learn and monitor customer portals, respond to requests, and manage APQP documents and claims. Comply with company EHS policies; authority to stop unsafe production and notify management. Review customer pending transactions weekly, identify issues, and work towards resolution. Lead corrective actions with strong problem-solving skills and document with proper 8D reports. Obtain deviation approvals from customers and ensure suppliers submit SEARs for approval. Ensure fully approved project handover to plant. Support supplier assessments and closure of findings. Monitor and improve IATF 16949 standards and QMS. Assist in IATF audits, warranty analysis, and corrective actions. Perform duties safely, promote a safety-oriented environment, and use PPE as required. Collaborate with Human Resources on personnel matters and perform other duties as assigned. Required Experience/Skills: B.S. Degree in Quality or Engineering preferred. +5 years of similar experience or equivalent. AQE experience. Enhanced professional training in quality subjects preferred. Knowledge of AIAG standards and VDA is a plus but not required: IATF 16949, ISO14000. Experience with VW, Tesla, GM, FCA, Audi, Ford, and other automotive manufacturers. Strong automotive assembly/molding experience. Problem-solving and analytical skills. Experience with APQP and core tools. Strong knowledge of customer-specific requirements.
