Rincon Consultants is hiring an
Environmental Data Manager
to bridge our Data and Technology Services (DTS) and Earth and Environmental Systems (EES) teams. This role involves understanding, managing, analyzing, and presenting data generated by EES team field events, including laboratory analytical results, GPS/coordinate data, geologic and hydrogeologic parameters, and other field-collected information. We seek a candidate with a working knowledge of environmental investigation processes and outputs. Because Rincon is committed to a people-first approach, we seek someone who thrives in a supportive, team-oriented environment. While flexible work arrangements, including a mix of in-office and remote work, are possible, our business needs will ultimately determine remote-work flexibility. Overview of Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Build and manage project-specific databases for medium- and large-scale EES projects. Coordinate with laboratories and validate incoming Electronic Data Deliverables (EDDs). Streamline and automate the integration of laboratory and field data into databases. Expand and manage databases for long-term projects, including historical data integration. Manage data uploads to online regulatory databases such as GeoTracker and EnviroStor. Provide data analysis, including statistics, regulatory comparisons, surface contours, and cross sections. Prepare draft and report-ready data tables and figures using GIS and visualization software. This Job Might Be For You If You Have The Following:
Bachelors Degree, MS, or higher in a quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, GIS, Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology, Chemistry) or equivalent. 5-10 years of experience in environmental consulting or data management, including analytical chemistry and field sampling data. Proficiency in environmental data management, database design, data mining, and tools like SQL and MS Access. Skills in connecting data management systems to Esri tools for visualization and analysis. Proficiency in R/Python for data processing, analysis, and visualization (e.g., Rmarkdown, Shiny, PowerBI). Working knowledge of ArcGIS Pro. Desirable: experience with front-end frameworks (JavaScript, HTML), AutoCAD, or 3D visualization tools (Leapfrog, EVS). Rincon Consultants is an award-winning environmental consulting firm serving California, with over 500 professionals across 13 offices. Our salary range for this position is $85,000$120,000, plus benefits and bonuses. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards Package, including health, dental, vision, retirement plans, paid time off, and professional development opportunities. Employment is contingent upon a pre-employment drug screening and, if applicable, federal project-specific drug testing. Rincon is an equal opportunity employer and does not accept unsolicited resumes from search firms without a contract. #J-18808-Ljbffr
