It Asset Manager
Our company is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented IT Asset Manager to join our dynamic team, in the Baton Rouge area. The IT Asset Manager will oversee the lifecycle management, inventory, compliance, and optimization of all IT-related assets. This role is critical to ensuring efficient utilization of resources, adherence to corporate policies, and strategic alignment of our technology infrastructure to meet organizational goals. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain an accurate inventory of all IT assets, including hardware, software, licenses, and services. Establish and enforce asset management policies, procedures, and governance guidelines. Monitor asset utilization to minimize waste, optimize asset performance, and ensure cost-effective procurement decisions. Collaborate with procurement teams to evaluate vendor contracts for IT-related purchases and renewals. Ensure compliance with software licensing agreements and regulatory requirements. Provide detailed reporting and analysis on asset lifecycle trends, depreciation, and ROI. Facilitate regular audits of IT assets to validate inventory accuracy and strengthen accountability. Support IT operational teams by offering insights into asset-related risks and opportunities. Requirements Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Management, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). Minimum of 35 years' experience in IT asset management or a related role. Relevant certifications, such as ITIL, IAITAM Certified Asset Management Professional (CAMP), or similar, are a strong plus. Proficiency in asset management tools and software, as well as Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with IT procurement, contract negotiation, and compliance guidelines. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Detail-oriented with a proactive and problem-solving mindset.
