Position Summary: Apparo Academy is seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist to join our interdisciplinary team serving children with complex medical, developmental, and therapeutic needs. This role is integral to our mission of providing faith-based, whole-child care through therapy and education. The Occupational Therapist will assess, plan, and implement therapy interventions that promote functional independence, sensory integration, and daily living skills in both clinical and educational settings.
Essential Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations using appropriate assessments and clinical observations.
Develop individualized treatment plans and goals aligned with each child's developmental, medical, and educational needs.
Provide direct therapy services in the outpatient setting, integrating sensory, motor, and ADL-focused interventions.
Collaborate with a team of speech-language pathologists, physical therapists, educators, nurses, and support staff to deliver coordinated care.
Educate and support families in carryover of therapy strategies and adaptive techniques at home.
Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and IEP development when appropriate.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with Medicaid and insurance guidelines.
Adapt treatment sessions to meet children's needs using creative, evidence-based, and play-centered approaches.
Supervise and mentor graduate students as needed.
Qualifications:
Master's or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
Current Georgia licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure.
NBCOT certification.
Minimum of one year of pediatric experience preferred; new graduates with strong pediatric training and passion for working with medically complex children will be considered.
CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
Strong clinical reasoning, documentation skills, and a team-oriented mindset.

Experience in early intervention, sensory integration, and/or neurodevelopmental approaches.
Familiarity with interdisciplinary therapy models.
