This role plays a critical part in ensuring the financial success of capital projects by overseeing budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, and reporting. The Capital Finance Manager is responsible for maintaining the project cost accounting system by ensuring all commitments, change orders, progress billings, and forecasts are entered timely and accurately. This position is based in Dallas, TX and is in office Monday - Friday. Responsibilities

Manage the financial aspects of projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost tracking. Conduct month-end close processes for project-related accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Prepare variance analysis reports for project budgets, identifying and explaining discrepancies. Monitor project billing schedules and revenue recognition, ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Oversee detailed balance sheet reconciliations for project accounts and ensure alignment with general ledger entries. Collaborate with project managers to review financial performance and provide insights into cost optimization. Prepare and analyze financial reports for stakeholders, summarizing key project metrics and results. Develop and implement process improvements to enhance project accounting accuracy and efficiency. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable accounting regulations. Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations related to project accounts. Contribute to special projects and ad-hoc reporting as required by management. Qualifications

A bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; and at least 5 years of related experience Understands accounting principles (i.e. journal entries, general ledger, Accrual, etc.) Possess working knowledge of ERP systems, Oracle preferred Must be deadline oriented, self-starter and able to work in a thriving fast-paced environment Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to plan and manage multiple tasks simultaneously Effective written and verbal communication skills, strong problem-solving skillset Proficient with MS Excel and MS Office Ability to work independently, with some oversight, and in team environment Must have good work ethic and integrity, dependable, adaptable, cooperative, and motivated to take on new responsibilities Professional demeanor with a positive, solution-seeking attitude Ability to think critically & analytically and make sound decisions to effectively drive important project issues to effective resolution Change is your friend you embrace it and adapt easily Omni Hotels & Resorts is an equal opportunity employer - vets/disability.
