The Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Virginia is searching for a new
Chief for the Division of Head and Neck Oncologic and Microvascular Surgery
to oversee, lead, and grow the division. We are seeking an innovative thought leader with expertise in advanced ablative surgery and multidisciplinary management of patients with head and neck cancer. The successful candidate will provide patient care at UVA Hospital and the UVA Comprehensive Cancer Center. Responsibilities include teaching medical students, residents, and fellows, as well as engaging in clinical, translational, or basic science research. Candidates must have an MD and be board-certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. Completion of fellowship training in advanced ablative surgery or related head and neck oncologic fellowship training, along with multidisciplinary management of head and neck cancer, is required. Experience in reconstructive microsurgery, robotic surgery, and a history of academic productivity are preferred. Candidates with expertise in basic science or translational research are encouraged to apply. Evidence of academic productivity is highly valued. Application Instructions
