Food Service Director

You're an experienced, energetic food service professional with a passion for culinary excellence, team leadership, and community service. We are hiring a Food Service Director to lead operations in a K?12 school setting (multiple schools, approx. 4,000 students). You'll manage the kitchen and office side of operations, lead a team, maintain compliance with USDA Child Nutrition regulations, and serve as a key partner to our client district. Key Responsibilities: Direct daily kitchen and service operations while modeling exemplary service Develop student-centered, compliant menus that meet USDA NSLP requirements Oversee purchasing, food cost controls, P&L, and budget adherence Ensure proper implementation of HACCP and food safety procedures Lead hiring, onboarding, and training for all unit staff Manage catering and special events with creativity and precision Build and maintain strong relationships with school administration and community Foster a team culture aligned with Taher's Leadership Principles Ensure accurate production records, inventory, and cash handling Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, staff, and students
