Director Of Technology Solutions

We are seeking a Director of Technology Solutions to join our dynamic team focused on Payments Platform Modernization. This person will oversee a team of Business Analysts with accountability for managing, maintaining, and delivering techno functional solutions to business requirements. The ideal candidate will be crucial in bridging the gap between business needs and technological solutions. As leader, you will work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements, analyze data, and provide insights that drive strategic decisions and the day-to-day operations in the Payment domain. Responsibilities Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with Product Managers and business stakeholders to gather, ideate, and document detailed requirements related to SWIFT ISO 20022 transformation, Wires Payment Processing, and applications. Provide leadership support to team providing requirements walkthrough and clarifications to the developers and as needed. Be a trusted partner of business and collaborate on roadmap, prioritization of various projects Accountable for team's ability to delivery techno-functional solutions. Analysis and Documentation: Analyze complex data sets, processes, and systems to identify areas for improvement for payment processing and platform modernization. Document business processes, workflows, and system functionalities. System Integration: Work closely with IT development teams to create functional flow charts and ensure seamless integration of systems and applications supporting payments business functions. Data Analysis: Perform data analysis to extract meaningful insights and trends related to different payment types, workflow steps, customer behavior. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains within Payment business domain. Propose and implement solutions to enhance overall business operations. Stakeholder Communication: Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams. Clearly communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders and vice versa. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date documentation of business processes, requirements, and system configurations. Qualification 5+ years of relevant experience Management of business analysts 10+ years of related experience as a business analyst Strong knowledge in Banking Payments Domain. Provides subject matter expertise of SWIFT CBPR+ ISO20022 transformation requirements. Knowledge of LYNX, CAHPS and CHATS settlement networks are essential. Knowledge of FEDWire, CHIPS, RTP, ACH, ZELLE will add more value to this role, but not mandatory. Provided detailed subject matter expertise to business analysts and development teams relating to the introduction of SWIFT ISO 20022 messaging. Exposure to Financial Crimes Compliance - such as OFAC scan, AML, Alert Investigations, Knowledge with Actimize or any other OFAC Scanning products. Experience with re-engineering of the platform is plus. Technical Knowledge (Must) Jira, Confluence, Strong SQL Skills, Data Analysis skills, Agile Experience ( Epics, Stories, Working in Scrum/Sprint), software development life cycle High level understanding of API, MQ and Kafka. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written; as well as work in an international team setting. Strong sense of ownership Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. Has excellent written and verbal communication skills Has strong customer focus Good to have experience in Volante VolPay or Finastra GPP The Director - Tech Solutions TDS Management builds and maintains strong business relationship with assigned clients / internal partners and provides direction and guidance on optimal technology solutions/services to meet business needs. The position generally manages a varied team of IT professionals and bridges the gap between the business and technology, and leverages resources across functional or specialized technology areas to ensure end to end delivery of agreed upon solutions or services within planned forecasts / cost estimates. Role generally supports a significant Business area, Product Group, Enterprise Platform, Service or Capability within a Segment CIO or Functional area. Sets work direction at an operational level, works autonomously in the management of the unit and collaborates with other business or technology leaders to establish and execute on common goals with a medium to longer term business perspective Expert knowledge of the business and bank technology standards (e.g., infrastructure, architecture, processes, applications) from a strategic perspective and managing/ directing teams and projects Sound knowledge of external competition, emerging, industry and/or market trends in relation to own business Integrator role that oversees various technology functions / resources to deliver business technical solutions or shared service Oversees a sizable and varied team of technology professionals (e.g., up to 50+ consisting of Application Developers, Solutions Designers, Business Systems Analysts, Specialists, and/or Project Managers) in the end to end delivery of complex projects, system enhancements / applications and/or application or service management Directs/manages large-scale applications/ projects across multiple product lines/ businesses, involving significant scope and complexity Understands strategic direction (including financials) and champions alliances to benefit the Bank and/or department; advocates for operational improvements to enhance the divisions value to the organization Role typically reports to an Executive role Education & Experience: Undergraduate degree or Technical Certificate. Graduate degree, preferred. 10+ years related experience. Expert knowledge of the business and bank technology standards (e.g., infrastructure, architecture, processes, applications) from a strategic perspective and managing/ directing teams and projects. Sound knowledge of external competition, emerging, industry and/or market trends in relation to own business.
