Job Title: Project Manager - Data Center
Locations: San Antonio, TX - Austin, TX - Traveling
Job Summary:
The Project Manager (PM) develops, coordinates, implements, and manages all facets necessary to construct the project on time, within budget, and to the client’s satisfaction. The PM provides leadership and serves as the liaison between project team members and the client to promote the interests of both Yates and the client. The PM is the primary leader for the construction project, utilizing their experience and knowledge to make prompt decisions, model efficiency, and run projects effectively.
Primary Duties:
Leading the safety program for the project
Ensuring superintendents have necessary trades, materials, and equipment
Overseeing subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to support schedule and scope commitments
Performing and overseeing QA/QC practices to meet project specifications and standards
Completing and communicating daily progress reports
Conducting site walk-throughs to ensure safety, cleanliness, and standards
Identifying and resolving field and design issues
Leading coordination meetings and managing labor concerns
Representing the site team in owner meetings
Developing and maintaining the site logistics plan
Developing scopes of work for subcontractors
Performing constructability reviews
Leading preconstruction meetings with subcontractors
Tracking progress and assisting in recovery planning
Ensuring quality control in line with the quality assurance program
Managing project close-out, punch lists, and permits
Participating in strategic planning including VDC
Demonstrating Yates Core Values and Principles
Following Yates Code of Conduct
Upholding safety responsibilities, reporting hazards, and participating in safety meetings
Assisting with safety program administration and compliance
Performing other duties as assigned to support project success
Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree (preferably in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field)
Relevant education, training, or experience may substitute for degree
Minimum of five (5) years construction management experience
Experience managing trades valued at $50MM
Experience with large/complex safety plans
PMP certification
Requirements:
Proficiency with Primavera, Excel, Word, MS Project
Experience organizing project teams and managing contracts
Knowledge of cost reporting, safety, schedule, and VDC methods
Understanding of contract types, insurance programs, and related terms
Physical Demands/Essential Job Functions:
This role may require walking, standing, operating tools/equipment, lifting up to 25 lbs, and working in varying weather conditions.
