Summary:
A Central Office/School Board Secretary is a vital part of the school district. The candidate must possess the ability to interact with the public, staff and administrators in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient. A high level of professionalism and confidentiality is crucial to this role. 29.5 Hours per Week Wage Based Upon Experience Holidays, Paid Leave Time After 90 Days Reports to:
District Superintendent Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide exceptional customer service to all stakeholders Attend school board meetings and record school board meeting minutes Manage school board documentation in preparation for audits Upload documentation in preparation for school board meetings within school board software Post all notices of school board meetings Write and submit press releases to the appropriate news outlets Prepare certificates for Students of the Month for the monthly school board meetings Assist with writing and posting job announcements for all categories and levels of employees. Keep the staff directory and organizational charts up to date. Maintain records and reports, including teacher certifications and professional development hours. Verify candidates' credentials, including licensing and certification if required for the position. Perform or arrange for reference checks and background checks. Manage Central Office including the ordering of office materials Organize vehicle requests and maintain calendar Organize Central Office room requests and maintain calendar File personnel paperwork including contracts and insurance forms Deliver and receive interoffice mail between buildings Receive and communicate transcript requests Support planning of district events Provide clerical support for district personnel Maintain and submit accurate reporting to legal entities about personnel Certification and Experience:
Executive Secretary experience preferred Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Applications
