Town of Yarmouth . The Energy Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and coordinating energy and climate mitigation projects, programs, and policies for the Town of Yarmouth. The role supports energy efficiency and emissions reductions in schools and municipal buildings, aiming for Massachusetts' goal of carbon neutrality by 2050. Essential Functions:

Manage and track energy and carbon savings projects for all municipal and school buildings. Manage High School Battery project and verify savings to the school district. Collect, analyze, and communicate energy, utility, emissions, fleet, and other relevant data. Ensure no stranding of net metering credits. Facilitate an Energy Management Assessment to evaluate current practices and policies. Prepare annual work plans and reports; develop or update an Energy Management Plan using the Mass Energy Insight tool. Coordinate with departments to develop and manage projects reducing energy use and emissions, including procurement and vendor management. Work with energy providers and municipal departments on assessments and projects. Manage budgets, solar projects, and long-term funding mechanisms. Maintain compliance with Green Communities designation, manage grants, and oversee municipal profiles in Mass Energy Insight. Prepare proposals, grant applications, bid specs, press releases, presentations, and web content. Procure vendors, manage contractors, secure incentives, and oversee project budgets and reports. Act as liaison across departments, organizations, officials, and regional bodies on energy issues. Attend meetings, manage Net Zero Action Plan, and pursue grants for energy and climate initiatives. Create training and outreach materials, recruit and manage volunteers, and develop online content. Track engagement metrics, evaluate program efficacy, and promote interdepartmental learning. Perform related duties as required. Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Planning, Engineering, or related field, plus three years of related experience in mechanical, electrical, or engineering disciplines. For full details, see the town website.
