About this Position The Business Analyst is a member of the TCIT Project Management Office (PMO). This individual is responsible for partnering with stakeholders in administrative and academic roles at the College to design solutions and initiatives that enhance the quality of IT products and services. The position reports to the Director of the Project Management Office. This position manages the intake of project requests (demands) and connects with stakeholders to understand their needs and scope the project to align with the Colleges and Departments strategic objectives. This process can often require research of industry application offerings to support fit-gap analyses. They facilitate the demand review and application assessment processes required before a project can be approved and added to the roadmap. They liaise between business users and IT stakeholders to properly document requirements and specifications. Business Analysts also participate in the execution of projects - sometimes leading the effort, and sometimes supporting business or technical users in requirements definition, solution design, testing, training, and communications/rollout. CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Facilitate demand intake/review and application assessment processes. Liaise between business and academic stakeholders and TCIT; facilitate cross-functional design and requirements processes. Understand peer departments business needs and strategic plans for growth. Analyze technical systems, interfaces, and processes to optimize solution design. Perform research using available data and industry information to support decision making and identify technological solutions for business needs. Document requirements and functional specifications. Structure application and interface testing efforts. Prepare training materials and communications to support initiative rollout and strategic alignment. Minimum Qualifications: 2-5 years experience in business analysis or product/application management. Excellent problem-solving skills. Analytical mindset. Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to present information to different audiences. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills. Experience with requirements documentation, building detailed reports, and presentation design. Interest in IT applications and solutions research. Salary Range: $72,000 - $90,000 Competitive Compensation and Benefits The salary range reflects the Colleges good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for the position at the time of the job posting. Salary decisions are dependent on several factors including but not limited to market and organizational considerations, experience, and qualifications of a selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
