Our ideal candidates:Are people who are personally motivated to produce high-quality workAre lifelong learners - driven to continually improveAre well organizedEnjoy working in a team environmentJob SummaryThe Tool Crib Coordinator will maintain an uninterrupted supply of tooling for the CNC Production Department by preparing Tool Kits; identifying and finding appropriate tooling; evaluates conditions of, and sorts tools returned to the Tool Crib for putting away, re-cycling, re-sharpening, and or scrapping while handling basic administrative tasks and maintaining an organized, safe, clean and orderly work environment in the CNC Tool Crib area.This is a great opportunity for a knowledgeable, highly organized, administratively savvy, CNC Machine Operator, looking to transition into a different role! This is a Monday - Friday, 1st shift role: 07:00am - 03:30pm Essential Functions:The CNC Tool Crib Coordinator will ensure that CNC Tooling supply is uninterruptedPrepare setup Tool Kits using Setup ScheduleEvaluate condition of returned Tooling, Gage Pins, and Pin Gage Sets and decide when to discard or repair worn out or damaged ones.Sort returned inserts for repeated internal use and outside recycling programMaintain Tool Crib Tooling inventory to ensure that tools needed for scheduled orders are available or being orderedPerform monthly CNC Tooling Cost analysis and report to Manufacturing ManagerSelect, negotiate, and obtain quotes from multiple Tooling SuppliersFill out and submit Purchase Requisitions for Tooling SuppliesMaintain and analyze CNC Tooling Database on IntranetCreate, maintain and standardize Bill of Tools Reports via intranet for all CNC partsSystematically review and document special tooling, replace with standard tooling when possibleHandle daily reporting Assist company employees in choosing and locating right toolsCheck Tool Crib Pin Gage Sets inventory per procedureEliminate clutter and maintain safe and clean working environment in the Tool Crib by timely placement of Tooling, Gage Pins, Pin Gage Sets, and other items into their locations in cabinetsCommunicate problems to the Manufacturing Manager with suggestions for solutionsUse an eye loupe for inspection of toolsAbility to carry out detailed, but uninvolved written and verbal instructionsMust have advanced problem-solving skillsMaintain professional, friendly and cooperative interactions with fellow employeesFollow all company safety and environmental policies and proceduresPerform the job with minimal supervisionPerform other assignments as required RequirementsQUALIFICATIONSEducation/Experience/Skills:High School Diploma or equivalentMust have 2+ years of experience in a Machine Shop in a role such as a CNC Machine Operator or CNC Set Up Technician, or have similar work experience Prior Experience using and understanding a variety of machine toolsMust be fluent in English, reading, writing and be able to communicate verballyMust be ability to use computer programs such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and be able use other database applicationsMust be highly organized and have the ability to prioritizeMust be able and willing to learn new tasks quicklyMust be able to handle basic administrative tasksAbility and willingness to adapt to a changing environmentMust be able to understand and perform basic math functions (measuring, use of calculator)Functional understanding on how to read engineering drawingsAbility to use measuring instruments such as calipersPhysical Demands:Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds -When performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, use hands to finger or handle or feel objects and talk and hearEmployee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms -Employee is occasionally required to walk -Specific vision abilities require close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.Work Environment: -May work near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to Vibration.Work in a machine shop environment where floors may be slippery due to oil spills, use of aqueous degreasing solution for floor cleanup, and metal chipsNoise level is usually moderate for a manufacturing plantWork where a forklift is being operatedReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functionsBenefits:Along with our employee ownership program, we offer medical, dental, vision, a generous Paid Time Off (PTO) program in addition to holiday pay, 401k plan, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), FSA plan, employer paid life & AD&D insurance and a wide variety of voluntary plans.Please note that this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
