Job DescriptionESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Create and maintain detailed production schedules based on customer orders, forecasts, and inventory levels, ensuring alignment with automotive OEM and Tier 1 supplier requirements. Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and production teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials, components, and subassemblies. Monitor production progress and adjust schedules to address disruptions such as equipment downtime, labor shortages, or supply chain delays. Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to integrate new product introductions (NPIs) and engineering changes into the production schedule. Utilize ERP/MRP systems to manage work orders, track material flow, and optimize production efficiency. Support lean manufacturing initiatives, including takt time planning, kanban systems, and continuous improvement projects. Communicate schedule changes and priorities clearly to shop floor supervisors and cross-functional teams. Analyze production data and KPIs to identify bottlenecks and recommend process improvements.QUALIFICATIONS: Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Plex, Oracle) and scheduling tools. Familiarity with automotive quality standards (e.g., IATF 16949, ISO 9001). Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment. Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Kaizen methodologies. Understanding of JIT, JIS (Just-in-Sequence), and EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and scheduling software (e.g., Asprova, Preactor, or similar). Knowledge of automotive supply chain dynamics and OEM/Tier 1 supplier relationships.EDUCATION &/or EXPERIENCE:Associate's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, or a related field, and three to five years of experience in an automotive manufacturing setting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:Basic level mathCOMPUTER SKILLS:Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.REASONING ABILITY:Possesses the ability to define problems, collect and analyze data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Capable of interpreting a wide range of technical instructions in mathematical or diagrammatic form and processing both abstract and concrete variables. Demonstrates the ability to assess the reasonableness of performed analyses."CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:APICS certification (CPIM or CSCP) is a plus.Experience with EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) systems.Familiarity with automotive quality standards (IATF 16949, ISO 9001).PHYSICAL DEMANDS:The employee is occasionally required to walk, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
