Key qualifications include possessing a character that reflects biblical godliness, demonstrating a meaningful, personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and active involvement in a local body of Christian believers.Responsibilities and DutiesOperate a school bus along various routes as needed, including morning and afternoon pickups. Safely transport students to and from school, field trips, and extracurricular activities. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle. Follow all traffic laws and district safety regulations. Maintain order and ensure student safety while on the bus. Communicate effectively with students, staff, and transportation personnel. Keep the bus clean and report any maintenance needs or incidents. Complete required documentation, including mileage and incident reports.QualificationsValid (or ability to obtain) Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with school bus and passenger endorsements. Current CPR certification.Per WA State law, the required minimum age is 21.Clean driving record and ability to pass a background check. Prior experience driving a school bus or similar vehicle is preferred but not required. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage student behavior respectfully and professionally. Must pass a physical exam and drug screening as required by state law.Work ScheduleOn-call basis, typically up to 20 hours per week, depending on need. May include early morning and afternoon shifts, plus occasional mid-day or evening hours for field trips.
